Factory

Our own machining, assembly and QC floors.

A reel factory, not a tackle shop

KATYUSHA reels are machined, assembled and pressure-tested in our own plant in Dongguan, Guangdong. We do not buy reels off a shelf, print a logo on the box and call it a brand. The machining centres, the anodising line and the QC bench are ours, which is why we can quote tolerances instead of adjectives.

What happens inside

1. Billet to blank

Aluminium billet is sawn, faced and roughed on CNC turning centres. Spools and side covers are then machined on 5-axis milling centres in a single setup where geometry allows, which keeps bore and spool concentricity tight and removes the tolerance stack-up you get from multi-fixture work.

2. Deburr and surface

Every part is deburred by hand and in vibratory tumblers before finishing. Bodies are anodised; stainless parts are passivated. Colour anodising is available in a standard colour range plus custom matching to your sample.

3. Assembly

Sealed drag stacks, bearing bores and handle assemblies are built on dedicated benches. Drag washers are lubricated to a written spec so that a 20 kg reel behaves like a 20 kg reel, batch after batch.

4. Pressure test and drag test

Reels are tested for drag force and, where the model is sealed, for water ingress before packing. Anything that leaks or measures outside spec does not get boxed.

Why this matters to you

  • You talk to the plant. Specification questions, sampling and QC complaints are handled by the people who machine the part.
  • Consistent supply. Same tooling, same material spec, same assembly sequence on repeat orders.
  • OEM from 200 pcs. We can put your brand on the same reels we sell under KATYUSHA.

FAQ

Where are KATYUSHA reels manufactured?

In our own plant in Dongguan, Guangdong, China. Bodies and spools are machined on 5-axis CNC centres, then anodised, assembled and tested on site.

Does KATYUSHA own the factory or subcontract the machining?

We own the machining, finishing and assembly capability and run the reels as our own product line. We are not a trading company reselling third-party reels.

What is the monthly production capacity for reels?

2,000 reels per month across the fly reel and sea reel lines. Tell us the model mix and the month you need and the trade desk confirms the slot against that capacity.

Can we visit or audit the factory?

Yes. Video walk-throughs are available on request, and on-site visits can be arranged with notice. Certification and audit documents are shared on request under NDA.
