The terms that apply to KATYUSHA orders: specifications, payment, shipping, warranty, IP and governing law.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of katyushafish.com and any purchase of KATYUSHA products made through this website, by email or through our trade desk. By placing an order or sending an enquiry you accept them. If you are ordering on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.

Where you buy as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence still apply, and nothing here removes rights you cannot waive. Where you buy as a business, these terms apply in full and the sections written for trade buyers (deposits, Incoterms, restocking) govern.

2. Who you are dealing with

KATYUSHA is the manufacturer and seller of the products offered on this website. We machine, assemble and test the reels ourselves and sell directly - there is no third-party reseller in the chain.

3. Products and specifications

• Specifications are measured. Drag values, bearing counts, gear ratios, weights and line capacities are bench-measured figures. Reels rated to the same drag may feel different depending on spool fill and line, which is normal.
• Tolerances. Machined and anodised parts carry normal manufacturing tolerances; dimensional and finish tolerances are as stated on the approved drawing for each part. Small variation in anodised colour between batches is possible and is not a defect.
• Images. Product photography is indicative. Accessories shown with a reel, such as line, jigs or rods, are not included unless the specification table lists them.
• Availability. Model availability changes. If a model you ordered is unavailable we will offer an alternative or a refund rather than silently substitute.
• Use. Reels are fishing equipment. Do not exceed the rated drag, do not use a reel as a lifting device, and rinse with fresh water after saltwater use. Damage from over-loading is not covered by warranty.

4. Prices, currency and taxes

• Prices are quoted in US dollars unless a quotation states otherwise.
• Prices exclude freight, insurance, import duties and taxes unless the quotation expressly includes them (for example a DDP quotation).
• We may change prices at any time, but the price on an accepted order or a signed proforma invoice is the price you pay for that order.
• Any duties, VAT or sales tax payable on import are the buyer's responsibility unless the order is quoted DDP.

5. Orders, deposits and cancellation

• This store takes orders that need a human to confirm. An order becomes binding when we confirm it in writing or issue a proforma invoice and the deposit clears.
• Trade orders normally run on a deposit with the balance due before shipment; the split is stated on the proforma invoice. Payment terms: as stated on the proforma invoice for each order.
• You may cancel a stock order before dispatch. Private-label and custom-colour goods cannot be cancelled once production has started, because the goods are made to your artwork or colour.
• We may decline or cancel an order where the information supplied is incorrect, where payment fails, or where we are required to do so by law.

6. Shipping, risk and title

• Shipment terms follow the Incoterms® 2020 rule named in the quotation (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP and others on request). Our standard export terms are FOB Ningbo / Shanghai.
• Dispatch times and transit times are estimates, not guarantees; see shipping & returns.
• Risk passes in accordance with the agreed Incoterm. Title to the goods passes only when we have received payment in full.
• Where an order is quoted DDP, we arrange clearance and pay the import duties, but the buyer must still provide accurate delivery details and receive the goods.

7. Returns, defects and warranty

• Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery; the full procedure and warranty terms are set out on the shipping & returns page and form part of these terms.
• Warranty period: 6 months on reels, counted from the delivery date, against manufacturing defects only. Baits and soft plastics are consumable items sold without a warranty period.
• Goods must be returned with an authorisation reference. Unauthorised returns may be refused.
• Custom and private-label goods are not returnable for change of mind.

8. Use of this website

Do not scrape, copy, resell or mirror the content of this website without written permission, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it in a way that is unlawful. Prices and product data published here are for information and may lag a live quotation: only a written quotation is binding.

9. Intellectual property

• KATYUSHA, its logo and the product names on this site belong to us. You may not use them as your own brand or in a way that suggests endorsement without our written agreement.
• Our product photographs and copy may not be reused in a marketplace listing or on another website without written permission.
• If you supply artwork for a private-label order, you confirm you have the right to use it and you indemnify us against third-party claims arising from it. We do not check your artwork for trademark or copyright conflicts.
• Tooling, drawings and moulds developed for a private-label order remain our property unless a contract says otherwise.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the value of the goods in that order. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or indirect and consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Because fishing tackle is used in uncontrolled conditions, the buyer is responsible for judging whether a reel is suitable for a particular species, load or method.

11. Force majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including earthquakes, epidemics, war, government action, port strikes, carrier failure, power shortages, or material shortages beyond our control. If such an event continues, either party may cancel the affected order, and deposits paid for undelivered goods are refunded.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms and any contract arising from them are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. The parties will first try to settle any dispute by negotiation in good faith. If negotiations fail, the dispute will be referred to arbitration at the seat, and under the rules of the arbitration body, named in the sales contract, before one arbitrator, and the award will be final and binding. The language of the arbitration will be English unless agreed otherwise. Before starting a formal dispute, contact us at [email protected] - most issues are resolved with one email and a photograph.

13. Changes and severability

We may update these terms; the version published on this page when you place an order applies. If any clause is found to be unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in force. Questions about these terms should be sent to [email protected].
